The Line Server Unit version 3 (LSUv3) belongs to the last generation of high performance test systems and it is intended to support development teams, system tests, acceptance tests and production tests in all telecommunication areas. This system is also suitable as a powerful development platform in the field of telecommunications.
The LSUv3 allows to simulate, via PCM, STM-1 and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, most of the functionalities of GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS Network elements, in order to test real pieces of equipment.
The LSUv3 is the latest and most powerful test equipment among the LSU series of systems. This new system version supports either channelized or unchannelized data flows, based on HDLC, ATM, IP and other special communication protocols used between the various Network Elements (e.g. TRAU Frames, PCU Frames, V.110, IuUP etc.)
Very recently PRISMA has introduced two new members in the LSUv3 family: the LSU Radio and the LSU Server. These new products complete PRISMA’s offer, providing multi standard radio interface and IP networks simulation. As per all the other members, the new LSU Radio and the LSU Server maintain all the key characteristics of PRISMA’s products such as: achievers of high performances, stability and scalability.
The LSUv3 was designed to operate in different modes, with the addition of software modules, in order to satisfy the test requirements for different project development stages (white box, integration, load & stress), final and acceptance test activities, and for other application fields.
The implementation of the various protocols strictly adhere to the related technical recommendations, but also provide special primitives for generating abnormal sequences of messages in order to verify the correct behaviour of equipment under test in all circumstances. The LSU development team is available to design special testing suites for new specific requirements of the Customers, or to integrate additional features (e.g. proprietary O&M procedures) in the already existing software packages.
