on the widespread and reliable public application Tethereal,
from the Ethereal family.
A suite of graphical tools allows the user to access all applications
and view the results with simple point and click operations.
The major advantage of this solution is the fact that both the full data
stream and the statistical data can be processed and collected in real
time by applications running on client computers. When any abnormal behaviour
is detected through the synthetic view offered by statistical tool, the
complete list of messages exchanged on the network can be analysed in
detail.
This solution also allows call tracing and the generation of separate
log files on a "per call" basis.
