HW and basic SW Probes

Derived from the proven and successful PRISMA family of lab test equipment - the Line Server Unit (LSU) - the new NPU product line provides a powerful and versatile solution for monitoring of mobile networks, allowing to collect data from multiple interfaces with a single unit and to acquire and pre-process high speed data flows and the larger data bandwidth required by new and emerging mobile services.

The LSUv3 architecture allows to gather data from multiple interfaces with a time-stamping mechanism that guarantees the slightest gaps. So, traffic flows coming from different interfaces can be analysed together and offer a complete and coherent view. An innovative labelling mechanism provides for a flexible and intuitive call tracing facility.

Five model of NPU, ranging from 2 PCM lines or 1 STM-1 to 32 PCM lines and 10 STM-1 lines capacity allow to solve any monitoring need with the most compact, reliable and cost effective solution on the market.

Build on top of a real-time OS, the PRISMA monitoring SW is providing best-in-class performances both in terms of latency than of capacity. Probes are supplied with powerful integrated monitor software that gives wide range of filtering and pre-analysis functionalities. PRISMA Probes (NPUs) are not just transferring the captured signalling messages from signalling link towards TCP/IP clients' applications but are able, with appropriate PRISMA application sw, to filter, to generate transaction data records, to make sophisticated messaging analysis, to count and collect signalling KPIs.

Probes are provided with a fully multi-client, multi-thread sw. Each connected client can be independently configured with own filters. In other words, PRISMA network probes can be widely used in different and various environment, allowing cost saving and immediate return from investments as they can be used in different parallel solutions and applications including value added services.

As PRISMA is supplying Probes with open interface and APIs any actor in telecom industry may get advantages from NPU usage in any solution. Telecom operators, Telco manufacturers, value added system suppliers, system integrators are surely able to get great and effective benefits by using PRISMA NPUs in their solutions.

PRISMA is widely available to support and develop your specific applications and solutions based on NPU probes, providing even a turn-key system solution based on your requirements.
